RECENT HOLES IN ONE Congratulations to Jack Martin who made a Hole-In-One during the first round of the Member Guest Tournnament on Saturday, July 25th. Jack used a sand wedge to ace the 3rd hole from 140 yards. Jack was a member of the hole in one club earning him a check and making him the third winner in the past two months. Anyone interested in joining the hold in one club contact Patti or Joseph in the golf shop. Congratulations to Fred Hall and Homer Swain who both had a Hole-In-One at Elm Lake on Friday, June 19, 2009. Free Hall aced the 3rd hole from the black tees and Homer Swain aced the 17th hole from the White Tees ! Way to go CHIEF !! Chief Lumsden made a hole in one on the 15th hole on February 7th, 2009 and was witnessed by Billy Dunham and Jonathan Lumsden. Not one but two! On Monday, December 29th, two holes in one were recorded at Elm Lake. Willie Menotti got his umpteenth hole in one on #8 with a 7 iron, witnessed by P.K. Jaynes and Homer Swain. Not lone afterward, Bryan Walker aced hole #3 with a 9 iron, witnessed by George Geer and Albert McBrayer. Congratulations Willie and Bryan. Willie is a member of the Hole in One Club, so he will be receiving a check for $125 for his feat. HOLE IN ONE CLUB The Hole in one Club is open to all Elm Lake Members. Members ante up $5, which goes into a kitty. When a member of the club makes a hole in one ( witnessed by at least two other golfers ) at the Elm Lake course, he or she receives the total in the kitty. Club members then ante up another $5. Any Elm Lake members wishing to join the Hole in One Club should call the Pro Shop at 329-8964. |
